Night of 14th
Introduction
Further studies to the article of
"night to be much observed is the Passover" in which the Passover day
was assumed as 13th evening, which corresponds to18th
April 2008 needs correction. I do regret that I had not studied the fourteenth
day as mentioned in the bible as we had assumed 13th night as the
Passover night all these years.
It should be the 14th day.
According to the word of God, Passover
is on the 19th, 1st day UB begins 19th and
ends 26th April, seven days in all as is written.
Ex. 12: 6 ---And ye shall
keep it up until the fourteenth
day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the
congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. (not when day
began).
Lev. 23: 5-In the fourteenth day of
the first month at even is the LORD'S Passover. ---
COUNTING 14
DAYS---
The fourteen days of Nisan—
Gen. 1: 5---And God called the light
Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening
and the morning were the first day.
Thus
the month before Nisan which is Adar ends and Nisan
starts—
Month before Nisan is Adar—it has 29
or 30 days (Feb-Mar)
And the evening
and the morning were the first day.
First day of Nisan
then starts from 29th evening of Adar to 1st Nisan
evening. One day is completed in the
evening of 1st day.
This
year New Year is on 6th April –then that day began 5th
evening.
Day one—29th evening (of
Adar)/1st day evening (of Nisan)----- 5th/ 6th

Ex.12: 3, 6
Ex. 12: 6 ---And ye shall
keep it up until the fourteenth
day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the
congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening (at twilight). (Not when day began as it
would be only 13 days).
14TH DAY IN THE EVENING—NOT AT THE TIME THE
DAY BEGAN!
14 DAYS COMPLETED ON 14TH EVENING. THIS IS THE EVENING THAT
IT SHOULD BE KILLED THEN! (This year ---19th)
WE HAD ASSUMED THE EVENING AS THE BEGINNING OF 19TH THIS YEAR WHICH IS 13TH
EVENING—KILLING WAS DONE AFTER COMPLETING 14 DAYS.----14TH
EVENING!
THEREFORE Passover SHOULD BE
DURING 19TH EVENING AND THEN THE NUMBER OF DAYS WILL BE CLEAR!
(Please note—when I
wrote the "night to be much observed is Passover"--- I wrongly
assumed the day as 13th night as I thought all these years we had
BEEN KEEPING the correct date! —but the bible makes it clear! —I do apologize
for not calculating that part from the scriptures!----in the writings of
"night to be much observed is Passover"—I wanted to make it clear
that the PASSOVER NIGHT is the NIGHT TO BE MUCH OBSERVED AS IT WAS THE NIGHT OF
SOLEMN OBSERVANCE TO THE LORD—EX 12: 42---Israel went in the night—Deut
16: 1--- DEUT.16: 1 --- keep the Passover unto the
LORD thy God--the LORD thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt
by night.--)
In these
writings this night is explained again.
PASSOVER IS A MEMORIAL—A FEAST TO
THE LORD
SEVEN DAYS OF UNLEAVENED BREAD--
Ex. 12:14--- And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD --a feast by an ordinance for ever.
15-- Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye
shall put away leaven out of your houses:
16-- And in the first day
there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day
there shall be an holy convocation to you;
Ex. 12:17 --And ye shall observe the feast of
unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of
the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day –
A
MEMORIAL –A FEAST TO THE LORD—7 DAYS ---1ST DAY AND 7TH
DAY HOLY CONVOCATIONS.
14TH
DAY AT EVENING—at this time Passover lamb killed
UB
begins 14th evening when 15th day starts---unleavened
days from 15th –unleavened bread should be eaten 7 days!-----please
read on---
Lev. 23: 5-In the fourteenth day
of the first month at even is the LORD'S Passover.---6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is
the feast of unleavened
bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.
Verse
is repeated in---
Num 28; 16 --On the fourteenth day of the
first month is the Passover of the LORD.--17 --'And
on the fifteenth day of
this month is the feast; unleavened bread shall be eaten for seven
days.
De 16:8 "Six days you shall eat
unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there shall be a sacred assembly
(after Passover 6 days and the seventh day are seven days)
At the end of 14th ---Passover lamb
killed, and as the 15th day starts from 14th evening the
1st day of Unleavened Bread starts too.
Ex. 12:17 --And ye shall observe the feast of
unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of
the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day –

Passover EVENING SHOULD BE
THE 19TH AND NOT THE EVEN OF 18TH!
Please keep
the day as God makes you understand, as we are keeping it for the LORD as a
memorial—if we had kept the wrong day—our merciful God would forgive us. He
knows our hearts!
·
Self same day---the
same night Israel armies were brought out of the land!
DEUT.16:
1 --- keep the Passover unto the LORD thy God--the
LORD thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night.
Ex. 12:17 --And ye shall observe the feast of
unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of
the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day –
MOSES HAD TOLD NOT TO GO OUT UNTIL MORNING—BUT EGYPTIANS
DROVE OFF THEM—THEY HAD TO LEAVE WHEN IT WAS STILL DARK—BY NIGHT-as the above verse says.
Darkness was called night—Ge.1: 5
Ex. 12--22---Moses had told them--- and none of you
shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.
BUT----People
could not wait until the morning –BECAUSE THEY WERE DRIVEN OUT—vs.
39--—they could not wait---nor were they prepared to go with foodstuffs—they could not wait until
morning by which time they could have prepared!—see below--
EGYPTIANS DROVE OFF ISRAEL---
Ex. 12: 33--And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them
out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.---34--And the people took
their dough before it was leavened, their kneading troughs being bound up in
their clothes upon their shoulders.
Ex 12: Vs 39----And they baked unleavened cakes
of the dough which they had brought out of Egypt; for it was not leavened,
because they were driven out of Egypt and could not
wait, nor had they prepared provisions for themselves.
Gold and silver articles
were borrowed from Egyptians from neighbors—Ex. 3: 22
They did not have to go far
to collect them!
Interpreter's Dictionary
of the Bible says----The exodus started at night (of the 14th after
midnight). But they did not actually leave Egypt, because they were in Rameses the next day, and it took 2 more days to get to
Succoth.
MOSES RECORDED THE DATES---
Num. 33: 3-- And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the
first month; on the morrow after the passover the
children of Israel went out with an high hand in the sight of all the
Egyptians.
4- For the Egyptians buried all their
firstborn, which the LORD had smitten among them: upon
their gods also the LORD executed judgments.
RAMESES---if you look at a
map—when all people had to gather at Rameses to start
the journey, they had to leave their homes may be during the 1st or
2nd watches of the morning as they lived in Goshen, a large area
from where came 600,000 men apart from women and children (Ex 12:37). These
people had to gather from areas
like Memphis, Heliopolis, Zoan
and so on!
ALL PRAISE BE
TO THE LORD GOD WHO SAVES HIS PEOPLE. AMEN.
